Privacy Notice
This notice describes how Grid Inno LLC ("Grid Inno", "we") handles personal data on the gridinno.com websites, in the customer portal, and through the licensing service used by the gpf software. It is written to match what our systems actually do; we collect little, and we say so plainly.
1. What we collect
Account data. When you create an account we store your name, email address, and organization. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your Google profile picture URL. Each sign-in session records the IP address and browser user agent it was created from, for security.
Billing data. Payments are processed by Stripe. We store your name, email, and Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. Card numbers and full billing addresses are entered on Stripe's pages and never reach our systems.
License and device data. Activating a licensed edition of gpf sends us the license identifier and an installation identifier. The installation identifier is built from cryptographic hashes computed on your machine from stable system identifiers (for containers, from runtime-assigned container identity); the raw identifiers never leave your machine and cannot be recovered from the hashes. We also record activation and last-seen timestamps, an optional machine label you choose, and an audit trail of activations, seat releases, and downloads.
2. What we do not collect
We run no analytics or advertising trackers, set no third-party cookies, and do not sell or share personal data for advertising. The gpf software does not transmit your input data, models, or results to us. Enterprise offline (air-gapped) activation contacts no server at all.
3. How we use data
We use the data above to provide accounts and sign-in (including emailing you magic sign-in links), to issue and enforce software licenses and seat limits, to process subscription payments, to respond to support requests, and to keep an audit record for security and billing integrity.
4. License validation
Licensed editions other than enterprise offline contact our licensing service on activation and periodically while in use (roughly every 15 days for installed machines, and about every 6 hours for container seats), sending the license identifier and the hashed installation identifier described above. This is how seats are counted and released; it carries no usage or content data.
5. Cookies
We set one strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. Your light/dark theme choice is kept in your browser's local storage and never sent to us. There is nothing to opt into or out of, so there is no cookie banner.
6. Service providers
We rely on three processors: Cloudflare (hosting, storage, and network security; as our network edge it sees connection IP addresses), Stripe (payment processing), and Google (optional Google sign-in, and delivery of our transactional email through Google Workspace). Each processes data under its own terms and only to provide these services to us.
7. Retention
Sign-in sessions and verification links expire automatically. Records of inactive machines are removed after about 30 days of silence (about 24 hours for container seats). Account, license, billing, and audit records are kept for the life of the account and as required for tax and accounting purposes, then deleted.
8. Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing info@gridinno.com. We will verify the request against the account email and respond within 30 days. Deleting account data does not erase records we must keep for tax, accounting, or fraud-prevention purposes.
9. International transfer
Grid Inno is based in the United States and data is processed there and on our providers' global infrastructure. If you access the services from elsewhere, you consent to this transfer.
10. Children
The services are business tools and are not directed at children under 16; we do not knowingly collect their data.
11. Changes and contact
We will post updates to this notice here with a new effective date. Questions about this notice or our data practices: info@gridinno.com.
